Review
Autumn is a very special season in that it is not too hot nor too cold, and it prepares us for the reflective mood of winter. If you like autumn, then you may like this free screensaver. It features five different animated scenes of forests in autumn. Each scene has its own set of animated characters, and a couple of them feature an animated lake or water stream. The animation of these is pretty convincing and adds to the relaxing mood of the screensaver. Nevertheless, some of the animated characters are too cartoonish and match poorly with the photographic background.
The screensaver also has a good set of sound effects of singing birds and running water, adding to the peaceful mood of the scenes. The program's control panel allows users to customize several of its settings. For example, it is possible to set the program to show only the selected backgrounds or all of them, sequentially or at random. Also, users can create a playlist with their own music collection to play along with the screensaver, and to turn on/off the sound effects. One can set any of the backgrounds as the default wallpaper.
The installation wizard suggests users to install other programs along with the screensaver, but they are not obligatory. You can decline their installation and still have the screensaver in your system. |
